DAVID LUKÁCS

Having his fathers recordcollection as an inspiration, it’s not a big surprise David fell in love with jazzmusic. This resulted in a fulltime study at “The Hague Royal Concervatory”. In 1998 David Lukács won the “Kobe Jazz Award” and toured in Japan as a solist with international all-star groups in 1998, 1999 and 2012. He did concerts , television and radio shows all over Europe and Asia with different groups. David was featured on the clarinet in “A Tribute To Benny Goodman” at the famous North Sea Jazz Festival and as well at The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. David has performed with musicians like Dan Barrett, Duke Heitger, Madeline Bell, Bill Berry, Tom Baker, Miranda van Kralingen, Joe Cohn …and many others. He played as a studio musician on albums like “The Shocking Miss Emerald” (Caro Emerald) and “Rhythm is our business” (The Jimmy Lunceford Legacy Orcestra). A new young face in the international jazz-scene whose playing and sound reminds the styles of jazzlegends like Lester Young, Stan Getz and Benny Goodman, ….but most of all you hear David!
